Soft Brown Sugar

This is a method I have used a few times and it works like magic, although I need to think of it a day ahead.
If your brown sugar has hardened:

- Put a slice of bread in the container or bag with it for a day

The next day the bread will be hard and the sugar will be soft and good as new!

If anyone knows of a faster method, please share.

  1. The method I found that keeps it soft is to keep it in the bag, in an airtight container. In the bag by itself doesn't work, and in the airtight container by itself doesn't work, but for some reason the two together does. And not buying C&H. Store brands stay soft longer.
